The Largest Watch Winder Database

Winder Settings

Find the exact TPD (turns per day) and direction settings for your automatic watch. Our database covers 30,000+ watch models from 25+ brands.

All profiles are available in the Time Machine app (iOS, Android, HarmonyOS).

What is TPD?

TPD (turns per day) is the number of rotations a watch winder makes in 24 hours. Every automatic watch movement has a specific TPD requirement — typically between 650 and 1,800 turns per day.

Using the wrong TPD can under-wind your watch (causing it to stop or lose accuracy) or over-stress the movement (putting unnecessary wear on the mainspring and reverser).

In addition to TPD, each watch has a preferred winding direction: clockwise (CW), counter-clockwise (CCW), or bidirectional. Using the correct direction ensures the automatic winding mechanism engages properly.

The Time Machine app automatically applies the correct TPD and direction for your specific watch model from our database of 30,000+ profiles.
